Another Charleston Good-Bye

Well, I thought it would only take two posts to say good-bye to Charleston, but alas, I was wrong. I had too much to say good-bye to. Let me continue...

What will we miss about Charleston? Let me tell you:

A two car garage that #1 provided a great place to do a pinata during January and #2 We could fit both cars into!
Possibly our favorite restaurant: Fat Hen

The close proximity to Disney World; it meant not having to pay for airfare.

The Thoroughbred Club, a really cool spot to have dessert or a drink.

The USS Yorktown at Patriot's Point

Citadel football games

Fort Sumter

The marsh tour at Magnolia plantation, even though it showed me how many alligators lived within 5 miles of my house. Yikes!

Grace Weekday School

Tomatoes grown on our own back porch

Fish Restaurant

The rooftop bar at The Vendue Range

Waterfront Park and the pineapple fountain in particular, where we saw Grace stand up for her brother against much older girls.

Bowen's Island. And the lowcountry at dusk.

The gardenia bush we planted in our backyard in honor of Jasen's mom, Lori

Brunch at High Cotton

Crosstowne Christian Church

Our first waterfall experience in SC

Our first family camping trip

Flying kites on Edisto Island

Lowcountry Children's Museum

A random run-in with a famous author: Pat Conroy!!

Charleston Stingray games!

Snow in Charleston, which we were less impressed with than the natives, but enjoyed nonetheless

Bushido's sushi challenge

Drayton Hall plantation

More food...this time, TacoBoy!

The Cooper River Bridge Run. Wait, Jasen might miss that, I will not!!

Another plantation: Cypress Gardens

Shrimp boats

Table Rock State Park

Hiking upstate

The waterfalls upstate

The azaleas in spring in our backyard
The spring view from our screened-in porch

And the view from our back door

Kayaking on the Cooper River, the Charleston Harbor, Shem Creek and some random creek near Folly Beach

Picking more strawberries than we know what to do with! The first year, we picked 15 lbs. The second year, over 24!!!

Okay, so the next post will chronicle the really important "things" we will miss. Stay tuned!!
